EXPRESSJET AIRLINES ACQUISITION/MERGER UPDATE
Friday, October 15, 2010, Atlanta, GA PDGC Tom Higginbotham, and General Chairpersons Kate Romanausky and Randy Hatfield met with Atlantic Southeast Airlines representatives Brandee Reynolds, Vice President, Inflight Services and Dan Curtin, Director, Inflight Services, and representatives from the law firm of Ford and Harrison.
We had a cordial and open discussion with Ms. Reynolds and Mr. Curtin regarding ASA's future plans for ExpressJet; keeping in mind so much has yet to be finalized. They anticipate legal closure of the transaction to occur the first week of November and stressed that until a single operating certificate is obtained, both airlines will continue to operate independently, although Headquarters will be Atlanta, GA. They intend to keep all four ExpressJet bases open for the foreseeable future. Ms. Reynolds explained the structure of the Inflight Department at ASA, and some information on how their training is conducted. We also briefly discussed flight attendant seniority at both airlines.
While there were many questions that could not be answered at this time, we feel that our first meeting was productive and we plan to meet again once the legal closure occurs.
